Apache Kafka consulting and data integration
Mansora supports Apache Kafka event streaming and data integration, covering data contracts, interfaces, failure scenarios and operational handover.
An event streaming system is more than a broker between applications. Business meaning, data contracts and the handling of duplicate or late events determine whether it is useful. Mansora helps select and implement an appropriate integration architecture, including alternatives to Kafka.
When this service fits
- Several systems need the same changes without tight coupling.
- Data transfers are poorly documented and failures difficult to investigate.
- An existing Kafka flow needs clearer schemas or operating procedures.
What you receive
- A bounded data flow with sources, consumers and owners
- Event and schema contracts with evolution rules
- Producer, consumer or connector integration within the agreed scope
- Checks for retries, failures, backlog and controlled replay
How we approach the work
We first establish whether distribution, reprocessing and decoupling justify Kafka. One data flow receives defined contracts and test cases. Further consumers follow only after that path works; monitoring, retention and ownership are part of handover.
A technical example
A hypothetical order flow publishes status changes for reporting and fulfilment. Consumers recognize previously processed events. A duplicate-message test checks that no second business order is created. The appropriate guarantee depends on the complete data path.
Scope and cost drivers
Source and target systems, throughput, retention, schema evolution, data requirements and operating model determine scope. A managed service reduces some operational tasks without removing business integration decisions.
Common questions
When is a queue or API enough?
A queue or API may be easier to operate for simple work dispatch or direct queries. Replay, independent consumers and event history are reasons to assess event streaming more closely.
Can you review an existing Kafka flow?
Yes. A review can examine a bounded flow, including schemas, consumer behaviour, failure handling and monitoring. Operating an entire platform is a separate scope.
